Rules, Procedures and Disciplines
Membership
£20 annual membership is payable on our first Monday back in January. You do not need to audition to join the company.

Fees
£60 per term, payable in January, May and September. New members may have the first 4 weeks of a new term to decide if they wish to stay, before paying in full.

Family discount
Families with more than one child attending Musicality will receive a 15% discount off the termly fees. (I.e. £60 first child, £51 siblings)

Fundraising
‘Fun raising’ events will take place throughout the year and we would like you support these whenever possible.

Patrons
Patron’s membership is payable and renewable in January each year.
The cost is £20 per person or £30 per married couple. Forms will be distributed in the New Year for all those interested, which outline the benefits in more detail.

Production Costs
To offset high production costs nearer a show date, subs of £3 will be payable for any extra rehearsals that may be called. Where possible, costumes will be provided by Musicality and you will NOT be charged. You may in some instances be required to provide basic costume items that you may already have at home or other items at nominal expense.

Holidays
Musicality will not take place during the school holidays or on bank holiday Mondays. We hope this will enable both members and staff to have a well deserved break and will eliminate the problems of having poorly attended rehearsals during holiday periods.

Groups/Times
We currently meet on a Monday evening at The Canolfan, Gorseinon. Times are subject to change in 2012 when the centre renews contracts.
Juniors (age 6 – 11) 5.30-6.30 pm. Juniors automatically transfer to the senior section when they are 11 or commence senior school, whichever is the soonest.
Seniors (Age 11 – Adult) 6.30 – 9pm

Musicality Uniform
Pupils are required to wear Musicality polo shirts and appropriate footwear for dance for all rehearsals. Polo shirts are given in the first instance free (on joining) and thereafter are £10 to replace. Juniors wear white polo shirts and Seniors/Staff members wear black.

Black hoodies are available to purchase at £20 per hoodie (includes personal name on back)

Casting/Rehearsals
Casting for productions is always done from members within the company. Auditions are held internally for those wishing to take on major roles, but the entire company will be included in a production despite their standard or ability.
If cast in a major role, you will be expected to fulfil your commitment until the end of the show run and will also be expected to attend extra rehearsals where necessary and residential rehearsal weekends if required. ‘Bold’ Rehearsals (essential) are compulsory and cast will be notified well in advance in order for them to take time off work if necessary. Those not able to make these rehearsals must give written notice in advance.

Staff
All staff members are fully qualified in their fields of expertise and hold enhanced CRB certificates.

General conduct
We ask all members to be polite and respectful to all staff and each other. We ask you to attend regularly and to apologise in advance if unable to attend

Gross misconduct will result in instant dismissal.

No person may re-join Musicality if they have any monies outstanding, and membership of the company is completely at the discretion of the principals and senior staff.
